Oak Leaf Dairy is owned and operated by Mark and Jackie Reynolds, along with our children and family. Our dairy is located on charming Bogg Lane in Lebanon, Connecticut and is made up of one hundred and fifty acres that has been in our family since the 1920’s. Our one hundred thirty dairy goats produce milk which is used in the making of our delicious fresh chevre, feta, cheddar, cheddar curds, caramel and lovely goat milk soap. The soap is sold in retail stores and at the Lebanon Farmer’s market, as well as many other farmers’ markets in Connecticut. We also have gift certificates available, which are good for any of our products. If you visit Oak Leaf Dairy to purchase some of our products, you can pay by cash, check or any major credit card. We look forward to meeting you!
In the beginning… In 1922, our great grandparents started and operated the farm as a cow dairy farm. Starting in the 1980s the family used the farm for haymaking until 2005.
Then came the goats… In 2006, our children wanted to get more involved around the farm and also wanted to join a 4H club. We decided in addition to producing hay we would farm the land again with animals. We chose dairy goats, due to their size, mild mannered behavior, and child-friendly easy handling! We began milking 30 goats and in February of 2007 we started making goat milk soap.
Today… Oak Leaf Dairy has become the largest goat diary in Connecticut. We have a milking herd of more than 120 goats which graze on our 15 acres of pasture. We have Saanen, Alpine, LaMancha, Toggenburg, and Oberhasli goats. Our lovely goats produce more than 500 gallons of milk a week at peak season. We continue to make all of our own hay to feed our goats and all of our pastures and fields are chemical free. With the support and help of our family and friends, Oak Leaf Dairy is growing more successful by the day!
